Bottles aren't just for babies. Like athletes, breastfeeding moms need to stay hydrated for optimal performance. Failure to drink enough fluids can lead to fatigue, dehydration and diminished milk supply. Although drinking water seems easy enough, this and other self-care activities often fall to the bottom of a busy mom's priority list. The thinksport bottle is the perfect solution for thirsty breastfeeding moms on the go.
Constructed of stainless steel, the thinksport is attractive, durable, and surprisingly lightweight. Its subtle hourglass shape makes the thinksport bottle easy to hold and its innovative construction keeps hot beverages hot and cold beverages cold without affecting the bottle's exterior temperature. It's easy to drink from the thinksport's relatively wide spout and the bottle's top unscrews to reveal an opening that's large enough to accommodate large pieces of ice. What sets this product apart from other sports bottles and makes it the ideal choice for breastfeeding moms is its non-toxic composition: the thinksport is free of harmful chemicals, including BPA, phthalates and lead. Priced under $20, the thinksport is an affordable, safe and environmentally friendly alternative to bottled water and plastic sports bottles.
My thinksport bottle is always within arm's reach-I consider it an essential breastfeeding accessory. I haven't tested the thinksport's ability to keep hot beverages hot, but my ice water stays very cold for hours and the bottle never sweats or becomes cold to the touch. I have and recommend the 750 ml (25 oz) size as I think the 350 ml bottle would prove too small for a nursing mom-I really appreciate only having to refill the bottle a couple of times daily. Aside from convenience, what really sold me on the thinksport was that every component of the bottle is non-toxic. I work hard to protect my little one from harmful chemicals, so I certainly don't want to pass toxins to him through my breast milk. When breastfeeding, I wish I could expose the drinking spout with one hand, but that's my only complaint to date.
