The Beco Baby Carrier's user-friendly, ergonomic design takes the guesswork out of babywearing.
The Beco, which includes a newborn insert and detachable sun hood, can support children weighing from 7 to 45 pounds and allows for front and back carrying. With easily adjustable waist and shoulder straps, the Beco can comfortably fit most adults, which is ideal for caretakers who share babywearing. Priced at about $140, the Beco is available in a variety of colors and fashionable patterns. Although their product's price tag is relatively steep, Beco pays skilled seamstresses a fair wage to construct each baby carrier by hand, providing customers with a quality item they can feel good about buying.
I've been very happy with Beco, as has my husband who wears it on occasion. I love that some Beco carriers are so pretty, but opted for the espresso brown since my hubbie and I couldn't agree on a pattern. My chief complaint is that Beco doesn't have accessories like teething pads or a pouch for personal items, but I purchased those designed to attach to the Ergo and they work just fine. I sometimes wish I could let my little one ride facing outward, but that's not a deal breaker by any means-some child development experts argue that inward facing is more beneficial, so it's probably just as well that Beco doesn't offer this option.
